Waste category
The WST category aims to reduce waste arisingingthe construction and operation phases of the project. It encourages good design and construction practices and recognizes measures in place to reduce future waste. The Waste category accounts for 6% of the total BREEAM International evaluation.
WST6 – Functional adaptability – max 2 credit
- AIM - To avoid unnecessary material use, cost and disruption arising from the need for future adaptation works due to changing functional demands AND to maximise the ability to reclaim and reuse materials at final demolition in line with the principles of a circular economy.
Assessment criteria:
Implement disassembly and functional adaptability
- Produce a building adaptability and disassembly guide for prospective tenants
