Together, teams from across ABB integrated their own energy management and building automation solutions across the 7,300 Sqm site, including an intelligent digital energy management system that allows users to monitor and control loads and energy distribution from a central location. This largely autonomous learning system calculates the optimum energy flow based on predictive data, while compensating for deviations in real-time.

A cogeneration plant was also created on site, which has double the energy efficiency of a traditional coal-fired power plant. Solar panels, battery storage and electric vehicle charging points are also incorporated.
