Using technology upgrades and digitalization strategies, teams from across ABB have delivered a 25% reduction in carbon emissions at a manufacturing site in Dalmine, Italy – one of its Mission to Zero sites.

There are positive signs across the investment sector that building decarbonization and energy efficiency are taking hold in investment strategies. This is critical to support and achieve global climate change efforts for a sustainable future*. Investment in energy-efficient buildings increased for the first time in three years in 2019, with building energy efficiency across global markets increasing to USD $152 billion, 3% more than the previous year. However, this is only a small proportion of the USD $5.8 trillion spent in total in the building and construction sector globally.
